Mommy (or Daddy) Question

When did y'all start adding food and/or cereal to you baby's diet.  Jesalyn has started waking up again in the middle of the night just to eat.  She'll wake up, eat 6 ounces and go right back to sleep.  I've always heard this was one of the signs that it's time to start adding a little bit of cereal.  Plus, she's going to be 5 months next week and I thought that 4 months was around the time to do it.  We're suppose to see her doctor next week and go over adding food, but I thought I'd get y'alls opinion.  At what age did you add it? Did you start with cereal? And how much?
Thanks!

When I took Tristan for his 2 month check up, the pediatrician said that we would start adding cereal at 4 months. I would think that Jesa is more than ready to start cereal. As for how much, can't help you there. Glad she is getting back to her old self and feeling better.

We started Javen on baby cereal around 4.5 months. He didn't care much for the rice cereal, but loved the baby oatmeal (we liked earth's best brand) I can't remember how much. I think we started with whatever the box said a serving size was, but ended up feeding him till he told us he was full. I think we started veggies and fruits around 5 months. Get ready to get messy! :)
